Heartsaver CPR Course Description:
The Heartsaver CPR course is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking on an adult. Instructors will observe students, provide feedback, and guide their learning of skills. This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job requirements or simply wants to be prepared in the event of a medical emergency.
Heartsaver CPR Course Content :
• Adult CPR and AED use.
• Optional modules in child CPR and AED use and infant CPR, including child and infant
* This course includes key changes, reflecting the new science from the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care
Heartsaver CPR Course Format:
During this course, an AHA Instructor will conduct video-based lessons and work with students to complete their CPR and AED skills practice and testing. The course takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete.
Upon completion of the course, participants will receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED certification card that is valid for two years. An optional written test is available.
The Heartsaver CPR AED Student Workbook (#15-1020) is required and will be available for purchase at the training site for $5 payable by cash or check (includes CPR Quick Reference Guides).
